Bring the messy growth question. Leave with a clearer next step.

Bring me the messy version. In 20 minutes we'll work out what looks most likely to be holding growth back and what I would do next. If I don't think you need me, I'll say so.

After you book

  1. 01

    We map the growth bottleneck.

A tight read on whether the constraint is ICP, channel, conversion, founder dependency, or reporting, not generic advice.

  2. 02

I tell you what I would fix first.

Honest sequencing: what to stop, what to test, and what can wait, so you leave with a concrete next move.

  3. 03

If useful, we scope what’s next.

Strategy Sprint, Fractional CMO, or something else entirely, including a clean “not a fit” redirect.

Before you book

Which of these sounds closest?

You don't need to diagnose yourself. This is just a quick way to see what I would look at first.

Leads are inconsistent

A lot of new business still comes from referrals, founder outreach or one channel that behaves differently every month.

First check: where did your last 10 real opportunities come from, and how many of those sources can you deliberately repeat?

People don't really get the product

Sales calls go better than the website, ads or outbound because someone has to explain the value properly.

First check: compare the words customers use on calls with the words on your homepage. If they sound like two different companies, start there.

You've tried loads of marketing

Paid, content, outbound and partnerships are all doing something, but nobody is confident about what deserves more budget.

First check: list every live channel and write down the one decision each channel's data should help you make. If you can't, the reporting is probably part of the problem.

Growth still depends on the founder

The team can execute, but priorities, context and the difficult calls still come back to you.

First check: write down the growth decisions only you made last week. Those are the decisions we need to either remove, document or hand over.

Sample output

Example of what founders leave with (anonymised):

“Your bottleneck is conversion from demo booked to qualified opportunity, not traffic. First fix: rewrite the demo page around ICP pain, add a qualification path, and stop sending all traffic to the same generic CTA.”
What's on the agenda

20 minutes, four things.

No prep deck on your end. The questions are designed to fit the time.

01

What's going wrong?

Where growth seems to be getting stuck: who you're selling to, messaging, pipeline, conversion, founder-led sales or the numbers.

02

What have you tried?

What you've already spent time or money on, what happened, and what that tells us.

03

Do you actually need me?

Whether this needs a senior operator, an agency, a freelancer, an internal hire or just a clearer decision.

04

What next?

The next thing I would do. If working together makes sense, we'll talk about the right shape. If it doesn't, I'll say so.

If you are still deciding whether the issue is traffic, offer, or positioning, read Do customer research before you buy more traffic before adding more spend.

Helpful to bring

  • Your stage and current ARR or signal
  • The one or two growth questions you actually want answered
  • What you've tried already
  • Why you're looking at this now

Probably not the right call if…

  • If you're pre-revenue and pre-PMF, that's customer research time, not GTM time
  • If you've already decided what to do and want validation
  • If you want a sales pitch, you won't get one
What you walk away with

A clearer idea of what's going wrong and what to do next.

If working together makes sense, we'll talk about engagement shape: Strategy Sprint or Fractional CMO. If it doesn't, you'll get the right operator, agency, or mentor to go to instead. Either way, you leave with a sharper plan than you came in with.

FAQ

Three questions founders ask first.

Is the call really free?

Yes. 20 minutes, no pitch, no deck. The economics work because most calls end with either a clear engagement shape or a clear no, and 'no' founders refer the right founders later.

What if you decide we're not a fit?

I'll tell you on the call and point you to the right person: an agency, a different operator, or just the right next step you can do yourself. That's the deal.

Will I be sent recordings, decks, or follow-up sequences after?

No. If we agree to work together, the next step is a scoping conversation. If not, the call ends with the recommendation and you don't hear from me again unless you reach out.

Next step

Book the 20-min Growth Audit.

20 minutes. No pitch. You'll leave with a clearer read on your biggest growth bottleneck and whether working together makes sense.
